Privacy Policy

MARK is an AI worker that runs inside your Slack workspace. This policy explains what it does with your workspace data, what we collect when you visit this website, and what you can ask us to do about either.

Who we are

MARK is operated by Marketeer sp. z o.o., registered at Żurawia 6, 00-503 Warszawa, Poland. You can reach us at hello@marketeer-app.com about anything in this policy, including a request to exercise your rights.

For data protection questions specifically, contact info@marketeer-app.com.

Two types of Data

It matters which of these we are talking about, because our obligations differ.

  • Workspace data — the messages, files and context MARK handles inside your Slack workspace. Your organisation decides what MARK sees and what it does with it. Your organisation is the controller; we act as a processor on its documented instructions.
  • Website data — what we collect when you visit marketeer-app.com. Here we are the controller, and the analytics section below describes all of it.

What MARK processes in your workspace

MARK only sees what it is given. Specifically:

  • Messages in channels it has been added to, and direct messages sent to it.
  • Files, links and documents shared with it in those channels.
  • Company and client context your team provides — briefs, brand rules, plans, budgets, campaign history.
  • Records it creates while working: tasks, campaign drafts, creator bookings, status updates.
  • Slack identifiers and display names of the people who interact with it, so it can attribute work and reply to the right person.

What MARK does not see

  • Channels it has not been added to.
  • Direct messages between other people.
  • Anything your Slack administrator has restricted it from accessing.

AI processing

To do the work, MARK sends relevant parts of your workspace content to Anthropic and OpenAI for processing. We do not use your workspace content to train our own models, and we contract for the same from our providers — but the terms that bind them are Anthropic’s and OpenAI’s, and you should read them if this matters to your organisation.

MARK produces drafts. Generated marketing content can be wrong, and it is your team’s responsibility to review anything before it is published or sent to a client.

Legal basis for workspace data

We process workspace data to perform our contract with your organisation, and only on its instructions. If you are an employee of a customer and want to know what your employer has configured, ask them first — they control the settings.

What we collect on this website

We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, to understand how people read this page — which sections they reach, where they stop scrolling, and which buttons they click. We do this because a scroll-driven page is hard to improve without knowing where people drop off.

We also use the Meta Pixel, from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads. It tells Meta that you visited this site, which pages you viewed, which buttons you clicked, how far you scrolled, and whether you joined the waitlist — including the company size, role and plan you picked, but never your email address — so we can see whether our ads bring people here and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may combine this with what it already knows about you if you use its services, under its own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can control how Meta uses it for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

We do not sell data. The one time we ask for your email address is if you choose to join the waitlist, described below, and your email is never sent to Meta.

  • Pages viewed, and how far down each one you scrolled.
  • Clicks on buttons and links, identified by the element you clicked.
  • A session replay of your visit, with all form inputs masked.
  • Standard technical information your browser sends: approximate region, device type, browser, referring site.

Cookies

Two cookies. The first is ours, named mark_vid. It holds a randomly generated identifier — a UUID with no meaning attached to it, not derived from anything about you — and it lasts 12 months. Its only job is to tell us whether a visit is a first visit or a return visit, so that one person reading the page twice is not counted as two people.

It is not linked to a name, an email address or an account, and it is not shared with anyone else.

The Meta Pixel sets its own cookie, named _fbp, which lasts 90 days. Meta uses it to recognise the same browser across visits and to connect a visit to an ad you saw.

If you would rather not be counted: clear these cookies in your browser, block cookies for this site, or turn on "Do Not Track". We honour Do Not Track — neither PostHog nor the Meta Pixel will load at all when it is set.

If you join the waitlist

MARK is onboarding companies in small batches. If you ask for access, we store your email address, your company size, your role, and which button on this page you came from. That last one is so we know which part of the pitch people respond to.

We use it for one thing: telling you when we have room for you. It is not a newsletter, we will not send you anything else, and we do not share or sell the list. If we ever want to email you about something else, we will ask you first.

Submitting the form is what gives us permission to send that one message, and you can withdraw it at any time — email hello@marketeer-app.com and we will delete your entry.

This list is kept separate from the analytics described above. The mark_vid cookie is not stored alongside your email, so joining the waitlist does not attach a name to your browsing.

Who else processes data

We rely on these providers. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.

  • Slack — the platform MARK runs on.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — generate MARK’s output.
  • PostHog (US region) — website analytics.
  • Meta Platforms — ad measurement through the Meta Pixel. Meta acts as a joint controller for this data and processes it under its own terms.
  • Vercel — hosting for this website.
  • Stripe — subscription billing.
  • Hostinger — hosting infrastructure.
  • Neon — the database holding waitlist signups.

How long we keep things

  • Workspace data — for as long as your organisation is a customer, then deleted within 30 days of the account closing unless agreed otherwise.
  • Website analytics — 12 months, then deleted.
  • Waitlist signups — 24 months, or until you ask us to delete yours.
  • Billing records — as long as tax and accounting law in Poland requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it to another provider, or stop processing it altogether. Email hello@marketeer-app.com and we will respond within one month.

If the data sits inside a customer’s workspace, we will pass your request to that customer, because they decide what happens to it.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority — in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Ask us at hello@marketeer-app.com if you want the specifics for your account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it to run the service, and it is logged. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator within the timeframes the law sets.

To report a vulnerability, contact urgent@marketeer-app.com.

Children

MARK is a business tool. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post any change on this page and move the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell customers directly before it takes effect.
